Drink-driver repeat offenders
In the Northern Territory, a driver can be apprehended for driving with up to 0.08 blood alcohol concentration (BAC) an unlimited number of times and not lose his or her licence.
What should change
- The driver’s licence should be immediately suspended for three months for a second exceed zero or 0.05 BAC offence and six months for any subsequent offence within three years.
